National Defense Academy(NDA) Exam


NDA examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year for the admission into one of the following armed forces in India.
1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air Force

It has 2 exams, NDA I and NDA II

Eligibility Criteria
1. +2 / Equivalent certificate from state board/universities.

2. Candidates appearing for above examinations can also apply.

3. Age between 16 ½ and 19 years.

4. Unmarried male candidates only.

5. Candidate must be either
  1. Citizen of India.

  2. A subject of Bhutan.

  3. A subject of Nepal. 

Selection Procedure

   1. Written test conducted by UPSC

   2. SSB interview

   3. Medical Examination by a Service Medical Board 

Syllabus for the exam

.
1. Mathematics. 
    Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics

2. General Ability
   1. English ( Max mark==200)
   2. GK (Max mark==400) 

The Subjects of the written examinations are follows
1. Mathematics (code 01)—Duration 2 ½ hours --- Marks 300
2. General Ability (Code 02) --- Duration 2 ½ hours --- Marks 600
So total mark is 900.
Questions are Objective type.
