GRE Exam


Graduate Record Examinations or GRE is important thing for many graduate schools in the English speaking countries. It is created and administered by Educational Testing Service ( ETS ). The exam focus to measure the candidate's verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, critical thinking skills.

GRE scores varies from college to college and departments within the college.

2 types of GRE tests are available.

1) Computer Based Test.

2) Paper Based Test.

             a) It is only available where computer based test is unavailable.

             b) 3 times a year. October, November & February

Computer based general test consists of 6 sections.

1) Analytical Reasoning Section

2) 2 Verbal Reasoning Sections

3) 2 Quantitative Reasoning Sections

4) Experimental or research section

Experimental section does not involved in the final score calculation, but it is important for higher steps.

Total exam hour is 3 hours, 45 minutes. 1 minute break after each section & 10 minutes after 3rd section.

Validity
GRE Test Scores are valid for 5 years after the testing year.

As per revised schedule, score for different test are mentioned below.

Score Reporting Date

1) Computer Based Test
     Scores will be sent to you approximately 10 - 15 days after the test date.

2) Paper Based Test
      Scores will be sent to you 6 weeks after the test date.
