Mathematics-Magnitude of a Vector

A Vector has both magnitude and direction. The length of the arrow shows its magnitude and arrowhead shows its direction.

Magnitude of a vector, a  is calculated by using the formula | a |, the modulus of a vector a.

If a vector has magnitude 1, then it is called unit vector.

How to scale a vector ?
A vector can be scaled by Multiplying the vector with a scalar value.

Eg) Magnitude of a vector, a = |a| = √(52 + 42 ) , if vector a = 5i + 4j
